In this video, let me walk you through a complete workflow for creating a digital ad using Adobe InDesign and ad production tool Viewst.

Follow along as I go over how to build a clean, effective layout in Adobe InDesign, and then use a custom script to export it as a layered TIFF file.

From there, we’ll jump into Viewst to bring the ad to life with animation. I’ll finish off by showing you how to export the ad as HTML, ready for upload to Google Ads.

Click the link below to download the InDesign template, assets and Script to follow along step-by-step with this tutorial.

Before getting started, it's important to download the InDesign script which will allow you to export a layered TIFF from InDesign to Photoshop. There are instructions that walk you through on how to add it to your Scripts panel, whether you're on a Mac or Windows.

The first step is designing the ad. Open the InDesign template called 300x600_Ad and follow along with the video to build out the ad. Keep in mind that in the video, I am pulling the assets from a CC Library, however you will be adding the assets from the exercise files. You can find them all in the Assets folder.
